Pekingese are toy dogs that, like the Shih Tzu, originated in China. These dogs are very fluffy, and they only weigh, at most, fourteen pounds. They are between six and nine inches tall. Their name translates, in English, to lion dog, which is apt, as their fur looks somewhat like a mane.
